That’s why we offer various PauseBox® solutions in our KEEP!- building, tailored to the nature and requirements of your objects. Our experts collaborate with you, analyse your collection’s needs, and provide tailored advice for safe, sustainable storage.

Shared storage space, where collections from multiple owners are carefully managed in one depot.

Your own collection, fully shielded. Ideal if you prefer maximum discretion, with the same high-quality care and conditions as in any other PauseBox®.

PauseBox® DryMetal
For objects that require extra dry storage, with a maximum humidity of 30%, we prevent corrosion and maintain the quality of your collection.

PauseBox® Cool
Perfect for photography, film, and delicate media. With the right balance of temperature and humidity, we ensure optimal, long-term storage.

Special PauseBox® variant that meets stricter safety and regulatory requirements for special collections.

A special depot with specific procedures for isolating objects that may be (biologically) contaminated or that originate from a disaster.
Storage according to the KEEP!-concept
Smart and secure storage—that’s what our KEEP!-concept stands for. The model is designed to protect collections thoughtfully, without compromising user-friendliness. The building is divided into six clearly structured zones—from core storage to visitor areas—each with its own role in the safe and sustainable preservation of heritage, in accordance with the Museum Standard, the Archives Act, and the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNA) regulations.

Zone I Core Storage
The heart of the collection centre. Here, objects are stored long-term and securely in a passively climate-controlled core area. This includes PauseBox® depots. Accessible only under strict security conditions.

Zone II Workspaces
Workspaces for restoration, research, and consultation. Accessible upon request. After use, the collection is returned to Zone I.

Zone III Public and facility areas
This is where we welcome visitors, offer training courses, and perform office duties. Access is only possible upon registration and under the supervision of Helicon staff.

Zone IV Outdoor Area
The area surrounding the building is secured and demarcated, allowing us to maintain visibility and control all the way to the gate.

Zone V Outdoor Environment
The surrounding area, such as the business park, has limited direct influence. The building is designed to minimize risks such as vandalism or flooding.

Zone VI Environmental factors
Factors beyond the immediate outdoor environment, such as climate, have long-term impacts. That's why the KEEP! concept is designed with the future in mind: to optimally protect your heritage even in a changing world.
